Welcome Fourth Avenue church of Christ
Here, at the Fourth Avenue church of Christ, we love The Lord and respect His word. When you visit with us, you will be greeted with a warm welcome, friendly faces, and people that have learned to search the scriptures. We are committed to singing songs of the heart within our devotion service, with outstanding servants, who are well equipped to lead us in songs of praise.
You will find classes for every age group Sunday morning, Sunday evening, and Wednesday evening. There are ministries to serve every individual, including: Marriage Connection, Family Connection, Men’s and Young Men’s Training Classes, Young Ladies Class, Ladies’ Bible Class, New Converts Class, Singles, Young Adults, Youth and Children’s’ ministries.
Parents with children ages 2 and younger may enjoy worship service on Sunday mornings, Sunday evenings, as well as, Wednesday night Bible study, while their children are cared for by quality caregivers in our fully staffed and equipped nursery. While you are visiting you will experience and enjoy the Church of Christ.
Our Beliefs
- Christ is the Head of The Church (Col 1:18, 24 and Eph 1:22-23).
- In order to become a member of the Lord’s Church one must be faithful and obedient to the Gospel of Christ (Matt 28:18-20 and Mark 16:15-16).
- One becomes a Christian by: faith (Heb 11:6), repentance (Acts 2:38), confession of Christ (Rom 10:9-10), and baptism for forgiveness of sins (Acts 2:38 and Mark 16:16).
- The Church of Christ organizational structure is patterned after the New Testament. When there are men that can qualify there should be Elders in every congregation (Acts 14:23) and Deacons to serve (Phil 1:1).
